Dover Athletic have today announced a range of changes to the Centre Spot Venue, which we hope will please fans and encourage them to make it their place to be on matchday.
NEW BEERS AND BITTER
We are pleased to announce that Shephard Neame, the popular Faversham based brewery, have become main drinks supplier to the Centre Spot Venue, which will see the introduction of new draught beer and bitter, including Shepard Neame's premium larger, Asahi.
BOARD ON BAR-MY PRICES
To encourage Supporters to make the Centre Spot their venue of choice on matchdays and in recognition of the current financial climate the Board of Directors have taken the decision to slash the cost of a pint, with fans now be able to sup-up for as little as £1.95.
SKY BACK ON AIR
The good news doesn’t stop with the beer. We are also delighted to announce that we will be bringing SKY back to the Centre Spot Venue. The service was cancelled last season due to the running costs. However, Viridor have stepped in to sponsor our package for the entire 2012-13 season.
This 'Matchday TV' sponsorship is in addition to the already extensive 5 figure deal the company have in place with the club. All TVs in and around the ground will carry on-screen graphics with the Viridor logo.
Director Neil Cook, who has worked with Viridor on this sponsorship deal, said “Viridor have already been incredibly supportive of the club, but this additional sponsorship is tremendous news for everyone involved with the Club.”
Chairman Jim Parmenter said “We have introduced cheaper pints, we've brought back SKY TV and we'll also be bringing a few extra touches to the CentreSpot over the next few months. We hope that the hard work of both the Board of Directors and our sponsors is rewarded by the fans.
We would love to see the Centr Spot Venue packed both pre and post match.”
STAY AT OURS A BIT LONGER
For the 2012-13 season, we'll be introducing post match presentations in the Centre Spot venue,including the sponsors Man of the Match presentation. It is hoped that fans will stay after the game to have a (very cheap) drink with fellow supporters, players, management and sponsors.
Where possible, we'll also be showing all Premiership matches airing on our matchdays, which we will advertise both on the official website, social media and in the local paper.
