PREVIEW: WHITES V WOKING

Dover will be aiming for victory on Tuesday night after two points were snatched away by a last-gasp equaliser from Maidenhead at Crabble on Saturday.

But Chris Kinnear’s side go into the game unbeaten in six league matches, winning and drawing three apiece over that period.

Anthony Limbrick’s men travel down with two wins from their last three away league games.

And home fans might recognise a couple of familiar faces on show.

Richard Orlu made 124 appearances over four seasons for Whites and Matt Young featured during the 2015/16 season.

Please note, this game will be SEGREGATED.

WOKING’S RECENT FORM

BROMLEY 2-0 WOKING

Two goals just before half-time saw the Ravens win three points at Hayes Lane against ten-man Woking.

Jack Holland and Josh Rees both found the net from set-pieces and the visitors hopes of a second half comeback were dashed when Kane Ferdinand was sent off for a dangerous challenge two minutes after the restart.

The opening goal arrived on 42 minutes, Holland steering home Adam Mekki’s free-kick after Cards keeper Nathan Baxter misjudged the flight of the ball.

And Mekki assisted the home side’s second goal three minutes later, crossing for an unmarked Rees to head home.

Bromley stopper David Gregory tipped away Joe Ward’s late curling effort to keep a third clean sheet on the spin.

PREVIOUS MEETING

28/02/17: WOKING 1-0 DOVER

Whites four-game National League unbeaten run came to an end on a disappointing night at the Kingfield Stadium on a Tuesday night.

Max Kretzschmar’s second half tap-in was the difference between the sides, but Chris Kinnear’s men remained in fifth spot at the final whistle.

Woking keeper Michael Poke denied Joe Healy in the 34th minute, spectacularly tipping the midfielder’s long-range strike onto the bar.

An unmarked Ricky Modeste should have given the visitors the lead before the break, but he headed Aswad Thomas’ pin-point cross wide from close range.

Ismail Yakubu headed against his own crossbar, but it was the hosts who went ahead with their first shot on target.

Sub Charlie Carter turned Jake Caprice’s cross into Kretzschmar’s path to leave him with the easiest of tap-ins.

Athletic pressed for a leveller, but the home side held firm to move two places clear of the bottom four.
