SELECTION WORRIES AHEAD OF FGR REPLAY

Whites boss Richard Langley has selection problems ahead of this evening’s FA Trophy Fourth Round replay against Forest Green Rovers at the Hoverspeed Stadium.

The biggest blow is the loss of experienced campaigners Mark Patterson and Andy Arnott. First team coach Patterson is ruled out by the injury he picked up in the first game between the two sides, at The Lawn last week, whilst skipper Arnott limped off in the first half against Bath City on Saturday and will not be available. With Dean Readings still recovering from a broken ankle.

In addition, following the departures of strikers Tommy Tyne and Michael Smissen last week, there are few options in the forward positions. Recent loan signing Jones Awuah is ineligible for the tie because he was not signed seven or more days before the original game and Israel Amadi is struggling with an injury whilst Simon Glover remains on loan at Ashford Town.

With Danny Chapman likely to revert to central defence in Arnott’s absence, it is midfield that provides the biggest headache with James Millar is cup-tied. Teenagers Craig Cloke and James Rogers will both be in contention for a place in the starting line-up.
