CHARLTON FIRST FOR WHITES

*BS*DOVER ATHLETIC has today announced that the scheduled game versus Charlton Athletic has been rearranged and the Addicks will bring their first team squad to Perrys Crabble.*BF*

Championship side Charlton today (Wednesday) contacted Whites to enquire about changing the fixture to a full First Team game, on Wednesday 23rd July.

The Addicks squad, including big names such as Matt Holland, Jerome Thomas and Darren Ambrose, have been training in Spain during closed season and will return in time for the game at the Perrys Crabble Stadium.

Dover Chairman, Jim Parmenter said “This is a big boost for us. For a team like Charlton to send their first team to Perrys Crabble is a big complement, in terms of our facilities and pitch as well as our playing squad. It will be a superb crowd pleaser, if not a very tough test for Hess’ Lads”.

A youthful Charlton XI recently beat Ryman league premier rivals Dartford at Princes Park in front of 2210 spectators. Whites officials are expecting an equally large number of people to attend this fixture against the Charlton’s First Team.

The rearranged game will kick-off at 7:45 on Wednesday; the ground opens at 6:00.

Despite the new Centre Spot venue being under construction, beer and burgers are still available at several outlets around the ground.

Prices for admission are as follows:

Adults: £10, Over 60’s: £7, 11-16 Years: £5, Under 11’s: £2

Transfer to the seated stands:
Adults: £1.50, Over 60’s & 11-16 Years: £1, Under 11’s: Free
