The Sussex County League side beat Guildford 4-3 on penalties after their replay on Tuesday finished as a 2-2 draw.

Whites have entered the competition a stage later than last season. This is also the case in the FA Trophy, which Dover will enter at the third (and final) qualifying round stage on Saturday, November 21.

Monday’s draw also pitched Kent League side Hythe against BlueSquare South title chasers Woking.

44 clubs come into the competition in the Second Round Qualifying, joining the 116 winners from the last round. It means that over the weekend of 26 September there will be 80 ties, with £4,500 up for grabs for the winners of each match, and a place in the Third Round Qualifying.

Ten of the sides entering at the Second Round Qualifying stage will be going head to head against each other. Fleetwood Town and Farsley Celtic of the Conference North will meet, so too will division rivals Eastwood Town and Corby Town.

Conference South teams will also do battle in The Cup. There’s Bishop’s Stortford v Thurrock, Braintree Town v Hampton & Richmond Borough and Weston Super Mare v Havant & Waterlooville.

The weekend’s biggest victors, Kendall Town, who won 9-1 at home to Guisborough Town, will welcome Ossett Town, who beat Morpeth 1-0, to their Parkside Road Ground. The sides met in the Northern Premier League only last week, with Ossett edging it by the odd goal in five consigning Kendall to their only defeat this campaign.
